  • Topping: 3 tablespoons butter, 1/3 cup brown sugar, 1/3 cup granulated sugar, 1.5 teaspoons cinnamon

Instructions

  2. Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat; mix in apple cider and let cool slightly.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and apple pie spice.
  4. In another bowl, combine melted butter mixture with sugar and egg until smooth.
  5. Gently fold wet ingredients into dry until just combined.
  6. Fill a donut pan with batter using a piping bag or spoon.
  7. Bake for about 7 minutes; check doneness with a toothpick.
  8. Prepare topping by melting additional butter and mixing sugars and cinnamon.
