  • 1 bottle (750ml) dry red apple vinegar
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1/2 cup apple juice
  • 2 medium apples, cored and chopped
  • 2 medium pears, cored and chopped
  • 2 oranges (one sliced, one juiced)
  • 1 cup cranberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 1 star anise
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

Instructions

  1. In a large pitcher or bowl, combine dry red apple vinegar, apple cider, and apple juice; stir well.
  2. Add chopped apples and pears, squeeze the juice from one orange into the mixture while adding the sliced orange as well.
  3. Toss in cranberries along with cinnamon sticks, cloves, and star anise. Stir in maple syrup to taste.
  4. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least four hours (or overnight).
  5. Stir before serving over ice; top with sparkling water or ginger ale if desired.
